Google To Host Maps Event Few Days Before Apple’s WWDC

Well, this is quite interesting. We heard a lot of rumors that Apple is going to ditch Google Maps for their own new map that probably will be coming out along with a new iOS 6 during this summer. The rumor is Apple is planning to unveil a new map software powered by C3 Technologies. Here is what C3 Technologies is capable of; producing a beautiful, stunning 3D world map. See video below:

Now, according to 9 to 5 Mac, they received an invitation from Google to attend to a Maps event where Google is planning to announce a whole new update for Google Maps. Is this Google is trying to compete with Apple’s new map solution? Google is planning to unveil a new update on June 6, just 5 days away from Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference.

What do you think? Would you rather to wait and see what Google have to offer? Or do you prefer to use the map that is powered by C3 Technologies? I hate to admit, but the technology behind C3 looks simply amazing. I can’t wait to see what new updates or features for Google Map.  The competition is on between Apple and Google! We will keep you posted. Stay tuned!
